Wow, i haven't posted since November! I have been truly busy with the holiday season, but i will post some new photos of the finished product of the dress that i previously posted. Its fabulous by the way! I wore it just to get the real feel of that fabric an how it moves its completely amazing! Well new posts coming soon! Perfect Imperfection is the future!

Preview of Summer 09.

Here is a few photos of one of the dresses Ive made for my summer line note this is a rough draft! You will get to see this first hand here, an in person on Dec 6th at the fashion show Ive mentioned earlier. The materials that Ive used for this garment is silk chiffon with a silk lining, along with a gold trim made of stretch fabrics braided to look like a rope. This dress is fabulous! You can dress it up wth a pair of strappy heels or dress it down with a simple pair of gold thong sandals. Its my pride an joy! And of course it will be on sale April of 09 just before the summer drops! As you know everything labeled with "perfect imperfection" is handmade to perfection. Chapter 1

Omg! Who knew starting your own online boutique would be so much work! Ive been crammed with paperwork! Here is a few things that I've completed..

• Business Plan
• DBA
• Wholesale License
• Business Bank Account
• Graphic Designer/Photographer

Business Plan: this consists of a rough draft of what i want my store to become. In the business plain i estimated how much $$$ i would spend, how i would get that money, how i would invest those earning into making more $$$, i wrote down a list of designers i would like to work with sketched out a logo.. etc. Basically the business plan is a outline of your goals for the business.

DBA: doing business as license, all this is, is a piece of paper that allows you to do business under a name in your city, its not a copy write nor a trademark. It entitles me to go throughout the Los Angeles area using perfect imperfection. With the DBA they require you to post a ad in a local newspaper for 4 weeks.

Wholesale License: this gives me the opportunity to go to local designers an buy in bulk, since i am a designer myself i can go downtown to the fashion district an buy basic items like shirts, fabrics, etc in a large quantity for the purpose to resale them an make a profit.

Business Bank Account: I felt this was a necessity to track how much money i have spent an what is going towards my business it comes in handy when tax time rolls around!

Graphic Designer/Photographer: I am so happy that i have found a reliable photographer who is skilled at photographing fashion, this is very important for when i have my photo shoot that the photographer pays close attention to the details in the garments an provides me an my customers with nothing but the best in high quality photos. A graphic designer plays an important roll in an online boutique, by creating a fresh clean campus for your online store!

I ntroduction.

Let me start off my introducing myself. My name is Kortney but i go by kaye, its alot edgier! I'm 20 years old, i live in the Los Angeles area of California! I'm one of three girls and the sister to one brother. I grew up in the suburbs with my mother an father. I always knew fashion was a passion of mine. As most little girls i loved to dress barbie an style all my dolls hair. Lets skip a few generations lol! Well i got my first taste of the fashion life a few years back when a good friend of mine seen some of my handmade pieces an decided to showcase my collection in her fashion show. Since that day i breathed fashion through my lungs daily. So since then Ive been in several fashion shows, showcased fashions on numerous models at hair shows, sold an gave away many pieces from my line, styled video shoots, weddings, photo shoots etc. I felt it was about time to build a home for my line so here i am now! INTRODUCING ... Perfect Imperfection! Now perfect imperfection is the COMPLETE definition of my line! This is what got my name across I specialize in making imperfect old clothes, jewelry you name it an transform it into the perfect must have item! Its the best oxymoron to fit my very personalized line! Every item i plan to sell with the label "perfect imperfection" will be one of a kind!
